As opined by Addley and Quinn, (2019), the unwillingness of healthcare staff to consider surgical smoke as an issue is increasing more problems in maintaining health safety and the occupational risks are increasing. The development of the operation theatre and the management process can be done by giving attention to the causes and impact of surgical smoke and the training and educational processes all this knowledge can be gathered.

The main factor of surgical smoke is the use of electrosurgery without proper protection and ventilation techniques and the management of healthcare organizations should be effective in maintaining all these elements properly and effectively. As stated by H et al. (2022), the development of safety measures can be done by implementing rules and regulations for using technical devices in the operation theatres and it is important for minimizing the impact of surgical smoke. Staff awareness and guidance should be maintained properly and effectively because it is required to provide more focus on the surgical instrument factors. Technology is the most useful and required element for maintaining surgical practices and to maintain technology properly training and education facilities for healthcare staff can be provided. As opined by Yu et al. (2022), the issues due to surgical smoke should be identified and effective precautions should be maintained in the healthcare organizations. The operation theatres must be developed because it is important for establishing the surgical smoke evacuation process properly and effectively. Proper analysis is helpful to know about surgical smoke and as it is well observed that during any surgical procedure due to certain heat generated by the surgical devices, the surgical smoke occurs which is mainly caused by some organic reaction of tissues and other body components. As stated by Casey and McNamara (2023), although it is caused by only thermal organic reactions and it is unavoidable in most cases, it has been well observed that it creates some amount of negative impact on the human body. Like other smoking practicals like aerosol and other odours smoke. It creates obstacles and negative impacts for both doctors nurses as well as patients. The primary impact of this surgical smoke is on doctors and nurses. As opined by Vortman and Thorlton, (2021), they are the primary victims as their unpleasant odour causes an uncomfortable atmosphere in the surgery room, thus causing coughs, sore throat, nausea and wet eyes, which might have a huge and dreadful impact on the surgery. Along with that the harmful chemicals which the surgical smoke consists of bear some bacteria and viruses which get observed in both doctor's and patients' bodies, causing long-term health issues. It can be seen that surgical smoke has the capacity to bear malignant cells with it. As stated by Bree et al. (2017), any tumour surgery can be life-threatening. Studies suggest it can be restricted with the use of certain certificated masks. But without prominent measures, it can be very harmful to human beings. Although it is quite unavoidable for the medical sciences. However certain studies and research can be done to omit its harmful effects like installing smoke evacuation and certain protective measures and proper training and development of those surgical instruments can be proven to be very beneficial for not only doctors but will ensure the safety of the patients and nurses.

It can be concluded that surgical smoke is a part of surgical activities because the use of lasers, electrosurgery, and others is required for treatment processes and due to surgical smoke, the health of staff and patients has to face issues. Healthcare organizations have to understand the importance of providing guidance to staff in implementing policies to control the production of surgical smoke in operation theatres. The analysis of the literature and policies is beneficial for identifying the factors that are required for maintaining technology technology in the operation theatres and it is important for developing the safety and health conditions of staff and patients. Laser tissue ablation, ultrasonic devices, and different techniques are required to improve the health condition of patients and the use of laser and other techniques increases the production of surgical smoke in the operation theatre. Awareness and guidance for evacuation of surgical smoke should be maintained in healthcare organizations because healthcare staff can be known to the surgical processes that can minimize the rate of surgical smoke. Proper precautions such as use of masks, advnaced surgical instruments, and others can be maintained in the operation theatre with the help of the awareness and guidance. The analysis of effective literature and policies is beneficial for describing the cause of surgical smoke and its impact on the healthcare professionals and patients and as a result, the improvement in operation theatres through technical development can be establishment. The discussion of the main elements of surgical smoke is useful for increasing the awareness among healthcare staff and organizations. As per lierature, healthcare staff are not willing in considering surgical smoke as an issue in the operation theatre and for that, the infrastructure of operation theatre and instruments of surgery are not maintained properly. The implementation of policies such as use of NTS-100 is effective in minimizing the production rate of surgical smoke and the awareness can be provided to them. The health issues that can be seen in healthcare professionals due to surgical smoke are mentioned to increase the awareness and proper precautions and protective behaviour should be maintained in the healthcare organizations to minimize the risk factors in the operation theatres.
