Rather than that, the importance of employee welfare environment, impact of “the community involve” in employee welfare and influence of corporate commitment on staff welfare are also going to be described here.

The strategic management are the planning and execution process within an organization which requires effective leadership skills to run a company. In this assignment the strategies and operational skills used by PepsiCo are being discussed to understand its objectives and organizational structure. PepsiCo is a multinational company that manufactures, food, snacks and beverages. The organization has more than twenty lacks employees and thus requires effective strategies to promote individual as well as organizational development. Total sales revenue generated by PepsiCo during the year 2020 was roughly 70.37 billion US Dollars [Referred to appendix 1].

1.1 Critical analysis and strategic direction of the organization

PepsiCo is one of the leading brands in the global market and is spread across 200 countries. The company is very famous around the globe mostly known for its beverage and snacks; strong image of the company has helped it to survive in this competitive industry. The main rival of this organization of Coca-Cola and therefore requires effective strategies and plans to run this organization. A strong financial performance and major investment in marketing as well as digitization in various fields of work in the last five years have helped the organization to achieve its goals. The strong supply chain over the global platform as well as the strong distribution network has helped in the fast growth and better reach towards the customers. The strong marketing and variety in product have helped in the growth of the organization. Along with these various strategies are formulated by the organization in order to enhance organizational performance.
The major strategies formulated by PepsiCo is cost leadership, this has helped the company to get access over the market and thus increase the product consumption rate. Through minimizing the cost of the product, the demand became high that helps in boosting the overall market of PepsiCo. Furthermore, PepsiCo has also focused on providing sustainable long-term growth to make an impact over the society as well as on the environment. This has helped in developing a strong image of the organization over the market and thus promotes development. Moreover, the constant innovation and research over the technology and the food products is also one of the important strategies of the organization. With the increase in consciousness about food habits among people, the organization has developed various healthier food options that can led to prosperity within community as well as the organization. Therefore, these are some of the strategic directions used by the organization to improve its reach and development in the global market.

1.2 Strategic skills developed in the company for organizational operation

Strategic skills a very important for any organization to run properly as well as to make a strong hold in the global market. PepsiCo being multinational organization requires effective strategic skills to be developed in order to maintain prosperity and growth of the organization. Strategies helps in providing effective solutions for various complex problems that emerge in any business process. Therefore, the various strategic skills that are developed by PepsiCo for organizational operations are:

  • Attention to details: It is very important for any organization to provide attention in each and every area of the operations. This ranges from the collection of raw materials to manufacturing unit as well as the supply chain management. Providing attention to each and every operation within an organization helps in effective management and thus ensures better productivity and work efficiency within the organization.

“Leadership Development” refers to the group of tasks which assist to prepare present and upcoming leaders to play a major role actively in their job role. Leadership-Development allows employees to upgrade their skills such as team management and decision making. AS opined by Rudolph et al. (2018), Development in leadership quality is important because it helps to increase employee-engagement. This is also used to develop the ability of leaders to hire appropriate candidates as per business requirements and inspire them to grow more.
Some of the opportunities that can be used to support the leadership-development and that are: “Interpersonal skill building” As discussed by Subramony et al. (2018), in this management people required to provide their interpersonal skill such as, giving day to day feedback to their employees, motivate their employees by setting up the goal and manage the performance effectively which assist to evaluate strong leadership quality.

“Gaining leadership support” As viewed by Huda et al. (2018),is a crucial part for developing the candidate from the day of joining by providing them proper training as per organizational requirements, providing books and materials to develop candidates.

“Evaluating-mentorship program” refers to the relationship between two people where each individual is more experienced and able to pass the certain criteria of the organization.

These frameworks help to contributes to hire appropriate candidates for the business operations and increase the ability to recognize the correct talent with fair opportunity. (2021), Personal leadership development helps to enhance the ability of working with a team and building strong communication with the others in the organization to make them clear about vision and goal.
Apart from that, personal leadership development enhances the innovative thinking ability which is used to manage the complex situation where production must be done within the deadline. Corporate community involvement is an outstanding effort that assists the efforts of organisations looking for a high level of productivity from the employees (Pratiwi et al. 2021). Therefore, it can be understood that such corporate community involvement is essential for both the organisations and the employees also.

Again, it has also been found that an effective engagement of employees and CCI are interconnected to each other. Therefore, it has been understood from this overall discussion that the presence of this type of suitable working atmosphere can be beneficial for the employees to work successfully. Besides that, it can also be effective for organisations to achieve desired targets and sustainability also. Therefore, it can be suggested that it will be required for every organisation to look into this matter to make a staff welfare environment to get a better result from the employees.

4.3 Influence of corporate commitment to employee welfare

“Corporate commitment” has emphasised five core factors including awareness regarding social responsibilities, care for the global environment, customer orientation, advancement of new and updated technologies, corporate culture in the sector of human resources and so on (Zuhaira et al. 2018). Therefore, it can be announced that employees must be always aware of their social responsibilities.

Corporate commitment has played a major significant effect in influencing employee welfare. It has been mentioned that there are several kinds of benefits of employee welfare so it is becoming essential to maintaining a proper employee welfare environment through the application of corporate commitments. Again, it has also been stated that the mentioned factors of corporate commitment have played an essential role in satisfying the employees. In the meantime, while the employees are becoming satisfied with the job position and job situation, then they can try to give their best in accomplishing targets.

Conclusion

It can be concluded that an effective strategic management system and leadership approach are essential for organisations to run their business smoothly. Therefore, it has been found that here the chosen organisation PepsiCo has taken several initiatives to improve its strategic management and leadership development also. Several types of benefits of building a staff welfare environment have also been started here. Effective employee welfare is required to improve the overall productivity of organisations.
